Job Role

Back-End Developer – IBM Software Team

---

Responsibilities

• Design and build scalable, high-performance back-end services and APIs.
• Develop object-oriented PHP applications from prototype through implementation.
• Integrate open-source and commercial applications into APIs and web portals.
• Develop REST/SOAP web services with performance and scalability in mind.
• Collaborate with product managers and stakeholders for feature development.
• Write and debug C code, and maintain a strong coding discipline.
• Ensure a user-centric development approach throughout the SDLC.

Eligibility Criteria

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• 1–4 years of experience preferred, but freshers with strong back-end skills are also welcome.

Required Skills

• Strong SQL and relational database knowledge
• Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) expertise
• Experience developing API interfaces
• Version control systems (Git preferred)
• C programming knowledge

---

Preferred Skills

• PHP back-end development experience
• Java and/or Python knowledge
• Experience with shell scripting
• Familiarity with ZooKeeper, Memcache (non-relational data stores)
• Docker & Kubernetes experience

---

Work Location

Multiple Locations (India) – Hybrid/Remote options may be available based on role.

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field
