Job Role and Responsibilities
As a Business Analyst at LSEG, your primary role will be to support the delivery of new technology products and features. You will gather and evaluate business requirements, prepare detailed documentation, and work closely with both product and engineering teams.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Collaborating with stakeholders to understand product needs and translate them into functional specifications
- Serving as a communication bridge between product teams and developers
- Leading data gathering and analysis to inform business decisions
- Managing potential risks and identifying priority areas for decision-making
- Drafting clear communications for internal stakeholders about new product functionalities
- Participating in agile ceremonies such as Scrum meetings and sprints
- Creating complete feature documentation in coordination with product managers
- Supporting solution designs while considering business and technical constraints
Key Skills and Experience
- Prior experience in the financial services sector with financial data systems
- Working knowledge of tools like Azure DevOps, SQL, Microsoft Fabric, and Data Virtualisation technologies
- Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills, with the ability to work across cross-functional teams
- Familiarity with agile project methodologies and backlog/release management
- Ability to solve complex business problems and provide actionable solutions
- Effective communication and negotiation skills with internal teams and stakeholders
- Proficiency in using modern collaboration tools
